<h5 id="rzalumultiuprest">Restrictions for MULTIUP with REDUCE(*TEXT)</h5>
|
|
<p>The following are restrictions for MULTIUP with REDUCE(*TEXT):</p>
|
|
<ul>
|
|
<li>MULTIUP requires an IPDS™ printer. It can be configured AFP(*YES) or AFP(*NO).</li>
|
|
<li>MULTIUP reduces the size of any lines drawn in the printed output resulting
|
|
from the use of the DDS LINE or BOX keywords. Depending on the pel resolution
|
|
of the printer being used, the lines might become too narrow to print.</li>
|
|
<li>MULTIUP with REDUCE(*TEXT) is not supported for spooled files created
|
|
with device type (DEVTYPE) of *LINE, *AFPDSLINE, or *AFPDS unless the AFP
|
|
data stream was created</li>
|
|
<li>MULTIUP is ignored if the spooled file contains any of the following advanced
|
|
printing functions:
|
|
<ul>
|
|
<li>Final form text</li>
|
|
<li>Variable fonts</li>
|
|
<li>Variable lines per inch</li>
|
|
<li>Variable drawer</li>
|
|
<li>Superscript or subscript</li>
|
|
<li>Variable character ID</li>
|
|
<li>Highlighting</li>
|
|
<li>Extended 3812 fonts</li>
|
|
<li>Graphics</li>
|
|
<li>Bar codes</li>
|
|
<li>Variable page rotation</li>
|
|
<li>PC printer emulation</li>
|
|
<li>Define characters</li>
|
|
<li>Variable characters per inch</li>
|
|
<li>Transparency commands</li>
|
|
<li>Field outlining</li>
|
|
<li>AFP™ resources (overlays, page segments, resources stored in the integrated
|
|
