<div><p>A logical partition running Linux can own its own LAN adapters. </p>

<p>Once you allocate the supported LAN adapters to the logical partition,
|
|
i5/OS does not realize the hardware exist and cannot use the
|
|
I/O resource. See <a href="rzalmioaplacement.htm">Assign I/O adapters (IOAs) to a logical partition</a> for
|
|
more information.</p>

<p>You will need to refer to your Linux distributor's documentation for information
|
|
on network TCP/IP setup. </p>
