<p><strong>Do not audit objects in QTEMP</strong>, also known as <span class="uicontrol">QAUDCTL
|
|
(*NOQTEMP)</span>, is a member of the auditing category of i5/OS™ system
|
|
values. You can use this system value to exclude objects in QTEMP when you
|
|
activate object- or user-level auditing. To learn more, keep reading.</p>

<div class="section"><h4 class="sectiontitle">What can I do with this system value?</h4><p>Use the associated
|
|
checkbox to specify whether you want to audit objects in QTEMP (*NOQTEMP)
|
|
or not. The QTEMP library is a job's temporary library, which is cleared when
|
|
a job ends.</p>
|
|
<p>Select this value to avoid clutter in the audit journal
|
|
due to a large number of operations on objects in QTEMP. When auditing is
|
|
active and this option is selected, the following actions on objects in the
|
|
QTEMP library are not audited:</p>
|
|
<ul><li>Creating objects</li>
|
|
<li>Deleting objects</li>
|
|
<li>Changing or reading objects</li>
|
|
<li>Changing the authority, owner, or primary group of objects</li>
|
|
</ul>
|
|
<p>You must specify this option with either Activate action auditing
|
|
(*AUDLVL) or Activate object auditing (*OBJAUD).</p>
|
|
<div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Note:</span> To view this auditing
|
|
system value, you must have All object (*ALLOBJ) or Audit (*AUDIT) special
|
|
authority. If you do not have the required authority, the Auditing category
|
|
is not displayed in iSeries Navigator. In addition, if you access this
|
|
system value in the character-based interface, a not available (*NOTAVL) value
|
|
is displayed.</div>
