<div><p>If you do not have the add-in Advanced Job Scheduler installed,
|
|
you can use the Management Central Scheduler to schedule jobs.</p>
|
|
<div class="p">You can invoke the Management Central scheduler by clicking on the <span class="uicontrol">Schedule</span> button
|
|
that appears on many of the iSeries™ Navigator windows. For example suppose you
|
|
want to use iSeries Navigator
|
|
Run Command window to submit a clean up job but you do not want that job to
|
|
run until after peak hours. </div>
|
|
<ol><li><span>In iSeries Navigator
|
|
right-click the server that you want to run the clean up job and click <span class="uicontrol">Run
|
|
Command</span>.</span></li>
|
|
<li><span>From the Run Command window, type in the character-based syntax
|
|
for running your job. If you need assistance type in the first command and
|
|
click <span class="uicontrol">Prompt</span>.</span></li>
|

<li><span>When you have completed the command, click <span class="uicontrol">Schedule</span>.
|

The Management Central Scheduler window displays where you can schedule this
|
|
job to run once, or run as a recurring job.</span></li>
