<div><p>Use these file- or record-level keywords to specify that you want
|
|
to use your program to handle any situation where the workstation user has
|
|
pressed the Page Down or Page Up keys and the <span class="keyword">i5/OS™</span> operating
|
|
system cannot page through the display.</p>
|
|
<div class="section"><p>If this situation occurs and you have not specified this keyword
|
|
(whichever one is appropriate), the <span class="keyword">i5/OS</span> operating
|
|
system sends an error message indicating that the key is not valid at that
|
|
time.</p>
|
|

when specifying the PAGEDOWN/PAGEUP keywords in files that are used in the System/36™ environment.</p>
|
|

|
|
format for each of these keywords is: <pre>PAGEDOWN[(response-indicator ['text'])]
|
|
PAGEUP[(response-indicator ['text'])]</pre>
|
|
</div>
|
|
<p>You can specify a
|
|
response indicator with these keywords. If you do, and the appropriate Page
|
|
key is pressed, the <span class="keyword">i5/OS</span> operating
|
|
system sets on the specified response indicator within the input record and
|
|
returns control to your program after it processes the input data. If you
|
|
do not specify a response indicator and the specified Page key is pressed,
|
|
the <span class="keyword">i5/OS</span> operating system
|
|
performs normal input record processing.</p>
|
|
<p>The optional text is included
|
|
on the computer printout created at program compilation to explain the intended
|
|
use of the indicator. This text functions only as a comment in the file or
|
|
program. The single quotation marks are required. If you specify more than
|
|
50 characters between the single quotation marks, the text is truncated to
|
|
50 characters on the program computer printout.</p>
|
|
<p>These keys cause data
|
|
to be returned from the display device to your program (similar to command
|
|
function (CF) and Enter keys).</p>
|
|
<p>The ROLLUP keyword cannot be specified
|
|
with PAGEDOWN. The ROLLDOWN keyword cannot be specified with PAGEUP.</p>
|
|
<div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Note:</span> PAGEDOWN
|
|
is the same as ROLLUP; PAGEUP is the same as ROLLDOWN.</div>
|
|
<p>If the <span class="keyword">i5/OS</span> operating system is performing
|
|
the page function for subfiles (SFLSIZ value does not equal SFLPAG value),
|
|
you do not need to specify these keywords. For a description of what happens

<p>Option
|
|
indicators are valid for these keywords.</p>
