<div><ol><li class="stepexpand"><span>In iSeries™ Navigator,
expand iSeries A <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol"></span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">Network</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">IP Policies</span></span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Right-click <span class="uicontrol">Quality of Service</span> and select <span class="uicontrol">Configuration</span> to
open the quality of service (QoS) Server Configuration window.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the QoS Server Configuration window, right-click <span class="uicontrol">Inbound
Admission Policies</span> and select <span class="uicontrol">New Policy</span> to
open the wizard.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Read the Welcome page and click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>In the <span class="uicontrol">Name</span> field, enter <samp class="codeph">Restrict_TheirCo</samp> and
click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>. Optionally, you can enter a description
to help you remember the intent of this policy.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Clients page, select <span class="uicontrol">Specific address or addresses</span> and
click <span class="uicontrol">New</span> to define your client.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the New client window, enter the following information: </span> <ul><li><span class="uicontrol">Name</span>: Their_Co</li>
<li><span class="uicontrol">IP address range</span>: 10.1.1.1 to 10.1.1.10</li>
<li>Click <span class="uicontrol">OK</span> to create the client and return to the
policy wizard.</li>
</ul>
After you click OK, you return to the policy wizard. If you had previous
clients created, de-select them and verify that only relevant clients are
selected.</li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) page, verify <span class="uicontrol">Any
URI</span> is selected and click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Applications page, select <span class="uicontrol">Specific port, range
of ports, or server type</span> and click <span class="uicontrol">New</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the New Application window, enter the following information
and click <span class="uicontrol">OK</span> to return to the wizard: </span> <ul><li><span class="uicontrol">Name</span>: HTTP</li>
<li><span class="uicontrol">Port</span>: 80</li>
</ul>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>Click <strong>Next</strong> to go the Codepoint page.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Codepoint page, verify <span class="uicontrol">All codepoints</span> is
selected and click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Local IP Address page, select <span class="uicontrol">IP address</span> and
select an interface on which requests are made to your local system. In this
example, use 192.168.1.1.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Class of Service page, click <span class="uicontrol">New</span> to
define performance characteristics. The New Class of Service wizard appears.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Read the Welcome page and click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Name page, enter <span class="uicontrol">inbound</span> and click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.
Optionally, you can add a description to help you remember the intent of this
class of service.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Type of Service page, select <span class="uicontrol">Inbound only</span>.
This class of service will only be used for inbound policies.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Inbound Limits page, enter the following information and
click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>: </span> <ul><li>Average connection rate: 50 per second</li>
<li>Connection burst limit: 50 connections</li>
<li>Priority: Medium</li>
</ul>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>Click <span class="uicontrol">Finish</span> to return to the policy wizard.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Class of service page, verify that the class of service
you just created is selected and click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Schedule page, select <span class="uicontrol">Active during selected
schedule</span> and click <span class="uicontrol">New</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the New Schedule window, enter the following information and
click <span class="uicontrol">OK</span>: </span> <ul><li>Name: FirstShift</li>
<li>Time of day: Active at specific times and add 9:00 to 5:00.</li>
<li>Day of week: Active on specific days and select Monday through Friday.</li>
</ul>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Schedules page, click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Review the Summary information. If accurate, click <span class="uicontrol">Finish</span> to
create the policy. The QoS Server Configuration lists all the policies created
on the server. After you complete the wizard, the policy is listed in the
right pane.</span> <p>You are now finished configuring the Inbound Admission
policy on iSeries A.
The next step is to start or update the server.</p>
