be written to use the Resource Reservation Setup Protocol (RAPI) API or the
qtoq sockets APIs. Along with the ReSerVation Protocol (RSVP), these APIs
perform the integrated service reservation through the network. If you do
not utilize these APIs, the application will not receive any priority or guarantee.
It is also important to note that this policy enables your applications to
receive priority through a network, but cannot guarantee it. All routers and
servers along the traffic's path must also use the RSVP protocol to guarantee
a reservation. An end-to-end reservation is dependent on participation throughout
the network.</div>
