was not found by <span class="keyword">i5/OS™</span>.</li>

<li>The iSeries™ system
|
|
value QAUTOCFG must be set to <strong>ON</strong>. <span class="keyword">i5/OS</span> is
|
|
unable to create the new console device if it is off.</li>

<li>If you just migrated the console from one type to another and the new
|
|
console fails to work in <span class="keyword">i5/OS</span> you
|
|
may need to use another workstation to manually delete the controller and
|
|
device description associated with the old console device.</li>
