<div><p>If you elect to partition at the IOP-level, you can switch certain
IOPs and all its attached devices between partitions that share the same bus
dynamically. </p>
<p>The partition that currently owns the IOP must not be in use before you
switch the IOP to another partition.</p>
<p>Switching requires removing the IOP from its current partition and adding
it to a different one. In other words, two partitions cannot use the IOP and
its devices at the same time.</p>
<div class="attention"><span class="attentiontitle">Attention:</span> When switching disk unit IOPs, ensure that all disk
units that belong to that specific IOP are first removed from the auxiliary
storage pool and are in a non-configured status.</div>
