<h1 class="topictitle1">Print system configuration for logical partitions</h1>
<div><p>Use DST or SST to print copies of your system hardware configuration.</p>
<div class="section"><p>It is strongly recommended that you print the system configuration
for all of your I/O resources that are allocated to all of the logical partitions,
when your set up is complete. Logical partition configuration information
is not saved during the save process, and therefore a printout will be required
to allocate appropriate resources should you have to recover your system in
a disaster recovery scenario.</p>
<p>You will also need to print the system
configuration report for all logical partitions should you need to perform
an MES (Miscellaneous Equipment Specification) also known as hardware upgrade
to your system with logical partitions. This information will assist your IBM® Business
Partner or IBM Marketing
Representative to understand how your system I/O resources are assigned to
the logical partitions.</p>
<div class="attention"><span class="attentiontitle">Attention:</span> Printing a system configuration
list through Hardware Service Manager within SST will only provide you with
a configuration listing of the resources that are allocated to that specific
partition. This report will not provide you with details for the entire system.
For this reason, you should use the steps outlined below using the primary
partition.</div>
<p>Follow these steps to print the system configuration:</p>
