|
|
<dd>Specifies block mode. In this mode, the server transmits data as a series
|
|
of data blocks, preceded by one or more header bytes. If you are transferring
|
|
data in block mode, the type must be EBCDIC.</dd>
|

<dt class="dlterm">S</dt>
|
|
<dd>Specifies stream mode. In this mode, the server transmits data as a stream
|
|
of bytes. You can use any representation type with stream mode.</dd>

<div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Notes:</span> <ol><li>Stream mode is the default transfer mode that is used in FTP. Some systems

do not support block mode.</li>
