using cluster resource services. You can also manage them manually.

There are two ways to have the application takeover IP address associated
with an application CRG managed. The easiest way, which is the default, is
to let cluster resource services manage the takeover IP address. This method
will direct cluster resource services to create the takeover IP address on
all nodes in the recovery domain, including nodes subsequently added to the
recovery domain. When this method is selected, the takeover IP address cannot
currently be defined on any node in the recovery domain.

The alternative way is to manage the takeover IP addresses yourself. This
method directs cluster resource services to not take any steps to configure
the takeover IP address; the user is responsible for configuration. You must
add the takeover IP address on all nodes in the recovery domain (except on
replicate nodes) before starting the cluster resource group. Any node to be
added to the recovery domain of an active CRG must have the takeover IP address
configured before being added.
