<p>The <strong>logname</strong> utility writes the user's login
name to standard output followed by a newline.</p>
<p>The <strong>logname</strong> utility explicitly ignores the
<strong>LOGNAME</strong> and <strong>USER</strong> environment
variables because the environment cannot be trusted.</p>
