<h3 id="rzahyekbpi">Enable Kerberos authentication on the Directory Server</h3>
<p>If you have <a href="../rzakh/rzakh000.htm">Network Authentication Service</a> configured
on your system, you can set up your Directory Server to use Kerberos authentication.
Kerberos authentication applies to the users and the administrator. Before
enabling Kerberos on the directory server, you might find it helpful to read
an <a href="rzahykerrf.htm#rzahykerrf">overview on using Kerberos</a> with Directory Server.</p>
<p> To enable Kerberos authentication, follow these steps:</p>
<ol type="1">
<li>In iSeries Navigator, expand <span class="bold">Network</span>.</li>
<li>Expand <span class="bold">Servers</span>.</li>
<li>Click <span class="bold">TCP/IP</span>.</li>
<li>Right-click <span class="bold">IBM Directory Server</span> and select <span class="bold">Properties</span>.</li>
<li>Click the <span class="bold">Kerberos</span> tab.</li>
<li>Check <span class="bold">Enable Kerberos authentication</span>.</li>
<li>Specify other settings on the <span class="bold">Kerberos</span> page
as appropriate to your situation. See the page's online help for information
