<h2 id="rzahybup-rf">Save and restore Directory Server information</h2>
<p>Directory Server stores information in the following locations:</p>
<ul>
<li>The database library (QUSRDIRDB by default), which contains the directory
servers contents.

<div class="notebody">You can see which database library you are
using on the <span class="bold">Database/Suffixes</span> tab of the IBM
Directory Server Properties panel in the iSeries Navigator.</div></li>
<li>The QDIRSRV2 library, which is used to store publishing information.</li>
<li>The QUSRSYS library, which stores various items in objects beginning with
QGLD (specify QUSRSYS/QGLD* to save them).</li>
<li>If you configure the directory server to log directory changes, a database
library called QUSRDIRCL that the change log uses.</li></ul><p class="indatacontent">If the contents of the directory change regularly, you should save your
database library and the objects in it on a regular basis. Configuration data
is also stored in the following directory:</p>
<pre class="xmp">/QIBM/UserData/OS400/Dirsrv/</pre><p class="indatacontent">You should also save the files in that directory whenever you change
the configuration or apply PTFs.</p>
