<h3 id="rzahyaddauxo">Add an auxiliary object class</h3>
<p>Use the <span class="bold">Add auxiliary class</span> button on the
toolbar to add an auxiliary object class to an existing entry in the directory
tree. An auxiliary object class provides additional attributes to the entry
to which it is added.</p>
<p>If you have not done so already, expand the <span class="bold">Directory management</span> category in the navigation area, then click <span class="bold">Manage entries</span>. You can expand the various subtrees
and select the entry, such as John Doe, that you want to work on. Click <span class="bold">Add auxiliary class</span> from the right-side tool bar. </p>

<li>Select any <span class="bold">Auxiliary object classes</span> you wish to use from the Available box and click <span class="bold">Add</span>. Repeat this process for each auxiliary object class you want to
add. You can also delete an auxiliary object class from the Selected box by
selecting it and clicking <span class="bold">Remove</span>.</li>
<li>At the <span class="bold">Required attributes</span> tab
enter the values for the required attributes. If you want to add more than
one value for a particular attribute, click <span class="bold">Multiple
values</span> and then add the values one at a time.</li>
<li>Click <span class="bold">Optional attributes</span>.</li>

enter the values as appropriate for the optional attributes. If you want to
add more than one value for a particular attribute, click <span class="bold">Multiple values</span> and then add the values one at a time.</li>
<li>Click <span class="bold">Memberships</span>.</li>
<li>If you have created any groups, at the <span class="bold">Memberships</span> tab:

<li>Select a group from <span class="bold">Available groups</span> and click <span class="bold">Add</span> to make the entry a member
of the selected <span class="bold">Static group membership</span>.</li>
<li>Select a group from <span class="bold">Static group
memberships</span> and click <span class="bold">Remove</span> to remove
the entry from the selected group.</li></ul></li>
<li>Click <span class="bold">OK</span> to change the entry.</li></ol>
