<h6 id="prestartjob-con">Work entries</h6>
<p>In a subsystem description, work entries are defined to identify the sources
from which jobs can be started in that subsystem. The types of work entries
are as follows:</p>
<dl>
<dt class="bold">Autostart job entry</dt>
<dd>Specifies a job that is automatically started when the subsystem is
started.
</dd>
<dt class="bold">Workstation entry</dt>
<dd>Specifies one or a group of workstations from which interactive jobs
can be started.
</dd>
<dt class="bold">Job queue entry</dt>
<dd>Specifies one of the job queues from which the subsystem can select
batch jobs. A batch job is a job that can run independently of a user at a
workstation.
</dd>
<dt class="bold">Communications entry</dt>
<dd>Specifies one or a group of communications device descriptions from
which communications batch jobs may be started. Communications batch jobs
do not use job queues.
</dd>
<dt class="bold">Prestart job entry</dt>
<dd>Identifies an application program to be started to wait for incoming
allocation requests.
</dd>
