<h5 id="ny4">Create the controller description (New York) in two-system network</h5>
<p>Because this is an APPN environment (iSeries system to iSeries system), the controller
is an APPC controller, and the CRTCTLAPPC command defines the attributes of
the controller. The example command defines the following attributes: </p>
<dl class="parml">
<dt class="bold">CTLD(LOSANGEL)</dt>
<dd>The name assigned to the controller description is LOSANGEL.
</dd>
<dt class="bold">LINKTYPE(*SDLC)</dt>
<dd>Because this controller is attached through an SDLC communications line,
the value specified is *SDLC. This value must correspond to the type of line
in use defined by a create line description command.
</dd>
<dt class="bold">LINE(LOSANGEL)</dt>
<dd>Specifies the name (LOSANGEL) of the line description to which this
controller is attached. This value must match a name that is specified by
the LIND parameter in a line description.
</dd>
<dt class="bold">RMTNETID(APPN)</dt>
<dd>The name of the network in which the remote control point resides is
APPN.
</dd>
<dt class="bold">RMTCPNAME(LOSANGEL)</dt>
<dd>Specifies that the remote control-point name is LOSANGEL. The name specified
here must match the name that is specified at the remote system for the local
control-point name. In the example, the LCLCPNAME parameter of the CHGNETA
command specifies the name at the remote system (LOSANGEL) by:

<dt class="bold">STNADR(01)</dt>
<dd>The address assigned to the remote controller is hex 01.
</dd>
<dt class="bold">NODETYPE(*CALC)</dt>
<dd>Specifies that the local system must determine, during exchange identifier
processing, the node type of the remote system.
</dd>
