Servers start under the QUSER user profile, so you first need to ensure that
the QUSER profile is enabled.</p>

<p>To use the command line to
check the QUSER profile, complete the following steps:</p>

<ol><li><span>On an iSeries™ command
line, type <tt>DSPUSRPRF USRPRF(QUSER)</tt> and press <strong>Enter</strong>.</span></li>
<li><span>Make sure that the <strong>Status</strong> is *ENABLED. If the profile status
is not *ENABLED, <a href="chgquser.htm#chgquser">change the QUSER profile</a>.</span></li>
