for Java™ classes
run on the IBM Developer
Kit for Java (i5/OS™) Java virtual machine (JVM). </p>
<div class="section"><p>In fact, the classes run on any platform that supports the Java 2
Software Development Kit (J2SDK) specifications.</p>
<p>When you run IBM Toolbox for Java classes
on the i5/OS JVM,
do the following:</p>
<ul><li>Choose whether to use the <a href="jvmvstb.htm#jvmvstb">i5/OS JVM or
the IBM Toolbox
for Java classes</a> to
access iSeries™ server
resources when running in the i5/OS JVM.</li>

<li>Read about <a href="jvmset.htm#jvmset">setting system name, user ID,
and password</a> in the i5/OS JVM.</li>
