<div><p>When working with problems, you might want to record the maximum
amount of information for jobs that have frequent problems.</p>
<div class="section"> <p>Alternatively, you might not want to create a job log for jobs
that were completed normally. Or, you might want to exclude informational
messages.</p>
<p>To control the contents of the job log by using the Create
Job Description (CRTJOBD) command:</p>

<ol><li class="stepexpand"><span>Type <tt>CRTJOBD</tt> from any command line and press F4.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Find the message logging (LOG) parameter, and specify
the appropriate values for the following parameters:</span> <ul><li>The message level.</li>
<li>The message severity.</li>
<li>The message text level.</li>
</ul>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>Complete the values for the required parameters and press Enter.</span></li>
