<div><p>When you use the Java™ 2 Software Development Kit (J2SDK),
version 1.4 or above on your iSeries™ server, JGSS is already configured. The default
configuration uses the pure Java JGSS provider.</p>
<div class="section"><h4 class="sectiontitle">Changing JGSS providers</h4><p> You can configure JGSS
to use the native iSeries JGSS provider instead of the pure Java JGSS
provider. Then, after you configure JGSS to use the native provider, you can
easily switch between the two providers. For more information, see the following
