<h3 id="chgowner">Change file or directory ownership</h3>
|
|
<p>You can change the owner of a file or directory by using either iSeries™ Navigator
|
|
or the command line interface.</p>
|
|
<p><span class="bold">From iSeries Navigator</span></p>
|
|
<ol type="1">
|
|
<li>Expand your iSeries server —> <span class="bold">File Systems</span> —> <span class="bold">Integrated File
|
|
System</span> —> <span class="bold">QNetWare</span> —>
|
|
the name of the NetWare server.</li>
|
|
<li>Right-click on the directory or file and select <span class="bold">Permissions</span>.</li>
|
|
<li>Click on the <span class="bold">Owner</span> button.</li>
|
|
<li>Expand the list of <span class="bold">All Users</span>, select the
|
|
new owner from that list, and click OK.</li></ol>
|
|
<p><span class="bold">From the iSeries command line</span>, use the CHGOWN command.
|
|
For example, this command transfers the ownership of <tt class="xph">myfile</tt> from
|
|
the current owner to <tt class="xph">NEWOWNER</tt>: </p>
|
