<h4 id="cfgtcp">Configure TCP/IP for NetWare</h4>
<p> If your system is at V4R3 or later, you can use iSeries&trade; Navigator
to configure your TCP/IP connections. You can find more information on configuring
TCP/IP in the iSeries Navigator online help. </p>

<div class="notebody">You must
also use the Change Network Server Attributes (CHGNWSA) command to specify
the NetWare TCP/IP port and NetWare IP/ server list. <a href="rzaefnwsa.htm#nwsa">Define network server attributes</a> has information
about using this command to change system defaults.</div>
<p>If you do not have iSeries Navigator, you can use the Configure TCP/IP (CFGTCP)
command. To configure TCP/IP, follow these steps:</p>
<ol type="1">
<li>On the iSeries console, enter the command <tt class="xph">CFGTCP</tt>. The <tt class="xph">Configure
TCP/IP</tt> menu appears.</li>
<li>Select option <tt class="xph">12. Change TCP/IP Domain information</tt>. The <tt class="xph">Change Local Domain and Host Names</tt> display appears.</li>
<li>Specify the Local domain name; then press Enter.</li>
<li>In the <tt class="xph">Server Address</tt> field, specify up to 3 server addresses.</li></ol><p class="indatacontent">For more information about TCP/IP, you can refer to the book <a href="../books/sc415420.pdf" target="_blank">TCP/IP Configuration and Reference</a>

<p>When you are done configuring TCP/IP, you are ready to <a href="rzaefinspat.htm#inspat">install Novell NetWare patches</a> on the servers.</p>
