|

<ul><li>With V5R4M0, i5/OS now
|
|
sets a default value in the QSYSLOCALE system value on new installation (this
|
|
value was set to *NONE). This allows applications that work with the locale
|
|
model to have the correct value by default.</li>
|
|
<li>With V5R4M0, the default values for locales are now based on the euro
|
|
version for those locales that use the euro. See <a href="rbagssyssuplocalesourcedef.htm">System-supplied
|
|
locales and recommended CCSIDs</a> for detailed information.</li>
|
|
<li>With V5R4M0, i5/OS now
|
|
delivers a national language version of Japanese with the translated information
|
|
encoded with CCSID 1399. This encoding makes developing applications with WebSphere<sup>®</sup>,
|
|
HTTP and C easier. See <a href="rbagsnatlangfeatcode.htm">National language
|
|
version feature codes</a> for detailed information.</li>
