<p>The Close Directory (QHFCLODR) API closes a specified directory that was opened using the Open Directory (QHFOPNDR) API. Once a directory is closed, the open directory handle that refers to it is no longer valid. If a process ends without closing directories, they are closed automatically. However, it is best if the application closes directories that it no longer needs so that other applications have free access to them.</p>
