xSeries hardware and firmware

This topic discusses the hardware and firmware needed for IXA.

The firmware should be updated as required by the particular xSeries^® model prior to installing the Integrated xSeries Adapter hardware, and before being cabled into the HSL loop or SPCN network.

Alternatively, you can use UpdateXpress to update the xSeries firmware. UpdateXpress is a bootable CD that will automatically detect the level of firmware and present you with a list of suggested updates. Use the following web site to learn more about UpdateXpress. You can order the UpdateXpress CD or download the image from this website as well.
