drives.
Deleting Linux drives using iSeries™ Navigator
To delete
a Linux drive
using iSeries Navigator,
complete the following steps:
- Shut down the Linux server to which the drive is linked.
- Unlink the Linux drive that you want to delete.
- Click All Virtual Disks under Integrated Server
Administration.
- Right-click the drive you want to delete.
- Select Delete to delete the drive.
- Click Delete.
To delete multiple Linux drives simultaneously, hold down
the control key (Ctrl) and click each of the drives you want to delete. Then
right-click one of the selected drives and click Delete.
Deleting Linux drives using CL commands
To delete
a Linux drive
using a CL command, complete the following:
- Shut down the Linux server to which the drive is linked.
- Unlink the Linux drive that you want to delete.
- Type in WRKNWSSTG. Press Enter.
The
Work with Network Server Storage Spaces display appears. Type 4 in
the Opt column next to the storage space that you want to delete. Press Enter.
The Confirm Delete Network Server Storage Space display appears.
- Alternatively, you can type DLTNWSSTG on the command
line. Press Enter. The Delete Network Server Storage
Space display appears.
- Press Enter. You see a message at the bottom of
the display confirming that the storage space was deleted successfully.
