Migration

Migration tasks and tools allow you to transfer your existing configuration settings and existing applications to the new version of the product.

Product migration functions are provided by the migration tools in IBM WebSphere Application Server - Express. This table shows the supported migration paths:

It is recommended that you read each topic in the order listed, and that you read through the migration documentation at least once before you start the migration process.

	Step 3: Migrate your server instances This topic provides step-by-step instructions to migrate an older WebSphere Application Server instance to a new WebSphere Application Server - Express Version 5.1 instance.
