View a job's time

View this topic to learn how to view a job's properties to make sure it is running with the proper time. The local job's time is equivalent to the system time.

If you have specified a new time zone and want to make sure that jobs are running with the proper time, you can view a job's properties to make sure it is running properly. Also, you might want to view a job's properties if you have configured a time maintenance application.

By viewing the job's time, you will know if your system time is set properly. If the job is not running with the proper time, you can perform some troubleshooting actions.

To verify that jobs are running with the proper time, complete the following steps:

  1. Locate the job in iSeries™ Navigator. To locate a job, see Find a job on the server.
  2. After you have located a particular job, right-click the job and select Properties.
  3. On the Properties dialog box, select the Date/Time page.
  4. View the Job local date and time field.
  5. If the job's date and time are correct, click OK to close the Properties dialog box.

If the date or time of the job is not correct, verify that the following settings are correct:
