Remote load source mirroring support allows the two disk units of the load source to be on different IOPs or system buses, which provides IOP or bus-level mirrored protection for the load source. However, in such a configuration, the system can only restart from or perform a main storage dump to the load source attached to the Load Source IOP. If the load source on the Load Source IOP fails, the system can continue to run on the other disk unit of the load-source mirrored pair.
