Start device parity protection/Create a disk array

Start device parity protection/create a disk array when you attach a new disk subserver to your server.

You must start device parity protection/create a disk array before you configure the associated disk units for use under Linux because all data is lost as a result of the action. If you want to install on to a parity set/disk array, start the logical partition into rescue mode prior to the installation, and follow the steps outlined in the PCI-X SCSI RAID Controller Reference Guide for Linux (doc SA23-1327) to start device parity/create a disk array.
