Change the logical partition host information

A hosted logical partition is dependent on an i5/OS® partition for some or all I/O resources. The hosting i5/OS partition can either be a primary or a secondary partition.

To change the logical partition host information, follow these steps:
  1. In iSeries™ Navigator, expand My Connections or your active environment.
  2. Select the primary partition of the server.
  3. Expand Configuration and Service and select Logical Partitions.
  4. Right-click the logical partition and select Properties.
  5. Select the Environment page to specify the name of an i5/OS partition that will act as the server. Click Help if you need more information on this field.
  6. Click OK.
