TCP/IP troubleshooter

Add the IP addresses for the DNS servers.

Follow these steps:

  1. From the Configure TCP/IP menu, select option 12 (Change TCP/IP domain information).
  2. For the Domain name server, Internet address prompt, type 'nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn' where 'nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn' is the IP address assigned to the DNS server you are using to resolve host names. You can specify one or more addresses for one or more DNS servers. If you do not know the IP addresses for the DNS servers, contact your network administrator.

    Note: You must use IPv4 network to communicate with a DNS server.

Note: For the changes to take effect, you must sign off from your interactive session and sign on again.
