Configure BOOTP/DHCP relay agent

iSeries™ server provides a DHCP/BOOTP relay agent that can be used to forward DHCP packets to a DHCP server on a different network.

To set up the iSeries DHCP/BOOTP relay agent:

  1. In iSeries Navigator, expand your iSeries server > Network > Servers > TCP/IP > BOOTP/DHCP relay agent.
  2. Right-click BOOTP/DHCP relay agent, and then select Configuration.
  3. Specify the interface that the relay agent will receive the DHCP packets from and the destination of where the packets should be forwarded.
  4. Click OK.
