Increase Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet performance

You can improve the performance of the server by using these tips:

• Increase your maximum frame size. You must ensure that all devices along the communications path support the frame size. For more information about frame sizes, see Maximum Ethernet frame sizes.
• Monitor the performance of your LAN by using the monitors feature of iSeries™ Navigator. See Track performance in the Performance topic for more information.
