Match iSeries system parameters for 3651 retail controllers

You must coordinate several parameter values for retail communications. These values are specified for the iSeries™ server and the 3651 retail controller. The following table lists those iSeries parameters that must match values for the 3651 retail controllers.

Before you match parameters for 3651 retail controllers, you need to match iSeries system controller, device, and line descriptions parameters with the host system.

iSeries parameters are listed in alphabetical order; the commands on which the parameters are specified are included in the rightmost column of the table.

To configure the iSeries server to a 3651 retail controller, use the following table.

Connection type CNN QFHOST SDLCLIN

Value specified for the iSeries CNN parameter on the CRTLINSDLC command must match the values specified for bits 2 and 3 of the 3651 SDLCLIN parameter.
Duplex DUPLEX QFHOST SDLCLIN

Value specified for the iSeries DUPLEX parameter on the CRTLINSDLC command must match the value specified for bit 6 of the 3651 SDLCLIN parameter.
Exchange identifier EXCHID QFHOST SENDID

3651 SENDID parameter must match the last 5 digits of the EXCHID parameter specified on the iSeries CRTLINSDLC command. (This parameter is used only for switched line communications.)
RECVID

3651 RECVID parameter must match the last 5 digits of the EXCHID parameter specified on the iSeries CRTCTLRTL command.
Modem data rate MODEMRATE QFHOST SDLCLIN

Value specified for the iSeries MODEMRATE parameter on the CRTLINSDLC command must match the value specified for bit 5 of the 3651 SDLCLIN parameter.
NRZI data encoding NRZI QFHOST SDLCLIN

Value specified for the iSeries NRZI parameter on the CRTLINSDLC command must match the value specified for bit 1 of the 3651 SDLCLIN parameter.
SSCP identifier SSCPID QFHOST SSCPID

3651 SSCPID parameter must match the SSCPID parameter specified on the iSeries CRTCTLRTL command.
Station address STNADR QFHOST SDLCPOL

3651 SDLCPOL parameter must match the STNADR parameter specified on the iSeries CRTCTLRTL command.
Switched connection SWITCHED QFHOST SDLCLIN

Value specified for the iSeries SWITCHED parameter on the CRTCTLRTL command must match the values specified for bits 2 and 3 of the 3651 SDLCLIN parameter.
Note:
For the iSeries server, the 3651 QFHOST definition must specify DIRATT=NO.

The value specified for the iSeries parameters on the CRTLINSDLC command must match the values specified on the 3651 SDLCLIN parameter.
