Note: DO NOT use a tape that you created through DST with option 5=Save Licensed Internal Code from the IPL or Install the System menu. Only do this if Software Services instructs you to use this type of tape. This process creates a tape that does not contain the Licensed Internal Code PTF Inventory information or the i5/OS™ Operating System. If you recover your server with this type of tape, you need to re-install the Licensed Internal Code from either SAVSYS tapes or from your distribution media. After you re-install the Licensed Internal Code, you can load PTFs onto your server.
