Support multiple domains

You can configure your Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server to support multiple domains in order to host ISP functions.

In order for the iSeries™ SMTP server to host ISP functions, it is necessary for SMTP to appear to operate in multiple domains. The SMTP client will use this configuration information to know which interface to bind to, when it sends the e-mail, and which mail to consider local (resolve and send on its own) or forward to a configured firewall mail daemon.
  1. In iSeries Navigator, expand your iSeries Server > TCP/IP > Network.
  2. Right-click SMTP and select Properties.
  3. Click the Multiple Domains tab.
  4. Click Add to specify the domains and interfaces that you would like to support.
  5. Click OK.
