You can use Management Central to gather your PM iSeries™ performance
data.
Perform the following tasks:
- Activated PM iSeries
- Configured the Universal Connection
- Set up your Management Central network
- Verified that the Electronic Service Agent™ is installed
on your system or accessible from your system
To gather PM iSeries performance
data on an endpoint system or system group, follow these steps:
- In iSeries Navigator, expand Management
Central.
- Expand Endpoint Systems or System Groups.
- Right-click an endpoint system or a system group, and select Inventory.
- Select Collect.
- Select one or more inventories to collect. In this case, you would select PM iSeries performance data.
- If you want an action to run on the central system when collection completes,
select the action from the list.
- Click OK to start collecting the data immediately
or click Schedule to specify when to collect the data.
Once you have configured your servers, you are ready to do the other
tasks to manage PM iSeries.
