Digital Certificate Management Exit Programs

If an exit program has been associated with an application, the exit program currently can be called for four different reasons:

• When the information about the exit program is updated.
• When the application is being deregistered.
• When the certificate associated with the application is updated or removed.
• When a Certificate Authority (CA) is added to or removed from the trust list for the application.

The information that is passed to the exit program is different based on the action that is being performed. The exit point format name that is passed to the exit program identifies the action that is being performed, and thus identifies what additional information is provided to the exit program.

The digital certificate management exit programs are:

• Deregister Application for Certificate Use is called when an application that uses certificates is deregistered.
• Register Application for Certificate Use is called when the registration information for an application is changed using the Register Application for Certificate Use (QSYRGAP, QsyRegisterAppForCertUse) API, the Add Exit Program (QUSADDEP, QusAddExitProgram) API, or the Add Exit Program (ADDEXITPGM) command.
• Update Certificate Authority (CA) Trust is called when a CA certificate is added to or removed from the list of trusted CA certificates for an application using Digital Certificate Manager (DCM).
• Update Certificate Usage is called when a certificate is updated for an application or removed from an application using Digital Certificate Manager (DCM).
