Link NWSSTG among multiple NWSDs

You have the ability to link network server storage space to multiple network server descriptions.

Guest partitions or network server descriptions can share data among other network server descriptions. By sharing the data among network server descriptions, you are allowing multiple network server descriptions the ability to have read-only access to data. The option to share data among multiple network server descriptions is beneficial when you have applications that multiple partitions need to access. There is no limit on the number of network server descriptions that can read the shared data.

You can also have shared-update network server storage spaces. Multiple network server descriptions would have access to the data however; only one network server description can update the data at a time. You will not be able to update the data if other network server descriptions are reading data from the drive. This option is beneficial when shared-data changes affect applications shared by multiple partitions.
