TCP/IP troubleshooter
In the local host table, add the host name entry for the interface on the remote system.
Follow these steps:
- From the Configure TCP/IP menu, select option 10 (Work with TCP/IP host table entries).
- Select option 1 (Add).
- For the Internet address prompt, type 'nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn', where 'nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn' is the IP address for the remote interface.
- For the Host names, Names prompt, type hostname where hostname is the specific text name assigned to the remote interface.
Note: If you are using IPv6, there is no support for IPv6 addresses in local host tables.
