TCP/IP troubleshooter

In the local host table, add the host name entry for the interface on the remote system.

Follow these steps:

  1. From the Configure TCP/IP menu, select option 10 (Work with TCP/IP host table entries).
  2. Select option 1 (Add).
  3. For the Internet address prompt, type 'nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn', where 'nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn' is the IP address for the remote interface.
  4. For the Host names, Names prompt, type hostname where hostname is the specific text name assigned to the remote interface.

Note: If you are using IPv6, there is no support for IPv6 addresses in local host tables.
