Deleting Linux servers

This topic discusses how to delete and remove integrated Linux® servers.

A CL command, called Delete Linux Server (DLTLNXSVR), was created for i5/OS® V5R4 that removes the iSeries™ objects associated with an integrated Linux server. This command also deletes integrated Linux servers. The DLTLNXSVR command removes the:

You cannot delete an integrated server using iSeries Navigator. This command is available through CL commands only.

To run the delete command, enter:

DLTLNXSVR NWSD(nwsd-name)

If you no longer want to run integrated Linux or Windows® servers on the iSeries, you can also delete the i5/OS Integrated Server Support (5722SS1 option 29 and 5722LSV).

To remove the license program, enter two commands:

DLTLICPGM LICPGM(5722SS1) OPTION(29)
DLTLICPGM LICPGM(5722LSV)
