The IBM Survey Creator application uses the LDAP directory server to authenticate users. Authentication takes place through a verification process of searching the LDAP directory to check that the user has a valid LDAP entry. The IBM Survey Creator application requires user authentication before they have survey administrative or owner access. Individual surveys can also require that survey takers be authenticated through a login process before taking a survey.
IBM Survey Creator is designed to work in conjunction with the IBM Business Solution applications. The IBM Business Solution applications share the same LDAP directory server if you deploy and configure the applications within the same application server run-time environment on an iSeries™ server. If your business applications share the same application server run-time environment, you can add an entry in the IBM Telephone Directory V5.2 application to create a valid LDAP entry.
