Step 2: Install WebSphere Application Server - Express for iSeries
To install WebSphere Application Server - Express on your iSeries server, complete these steps.
- Install the prerequisite software. For more information, see Prerequisites for installing WebSphere Application Server - Express for iSeries.
- Determine whether or not WebSphere Application Server - Express is preloaded on your iSeries server
- Install the WebSphere Application Server - Express product.
- Install the correct cumulative PTF package.
- Install additional PTFs required for WebSphere Application Server- Express.
- (Optional) Install the WebSphere Development Studio Client for iSeries, which includes tools for traditional and e-business application development. For more information, see Getting Started with IBM WebSphere Development Studio Client for iSeries
