XML Scripting for iSeries™ uses an XML formatted file to accomplish a set of tasks on an iSeries. These tasks are grouped in "targets" which allow a different set of tasks to be run in different invocations of the XML Scripting for iSeries tool. The targets can have dependencies on each other.
The XML Scripting for iSeries tool is inspired by Apache Ant, but it is not compatible with that product and has a different focus. Currently, the tool is available only in the English language and has no extension API.
