You can change default and expired service tools passwords.
To change default and expired service tools passwords, complete
the following steps:
- Allow default and expired passwords to be changed:
- Start SST or DST
- Select Work with System Security.
- From the Work with System Security display, change the setting
of the Allow a service tools user ID with a default
and expired password field from No to Yes.
- Change a default and expired password:
- Start SST
- Sign on to SST using a service tools user ID with
a default and expired password.
- When the message "Password has expired" appears, press F9 to
change the password.
- When the service tools user ID name is displayed, complete the
following fields:
- New password: Enter a new password.
- New password (to verify): Enter the new password
again.
- Press Enter.
