Plan for software licensing

You can track trends in the usage of licensed-enabled packaged products that are currently installed on your server.

You can then use this information to determine what you need to purchase for the next software upgrade.

• Determine the usage limit for products not in the keyed set
  To determine the number of licenses you need to purchase for the next release of a product that is not in the keyed set, you can use the Work with License Information (WRKLICINF) command.
• Determine the usage limit for products priced by processor
  Determine usage of some licensed-enabled packaged products based on the number of processors you have configured to logical partitions.
