These two elements define a collection of characters. Below is an example of the multinational CHRID 697-500. </p> <dl> <dt class="bold">697</dt> <dd>This is the name of the graphic character set. <p>Some graphic character sets identify a character set that is a subset of the code page. Others identify a character set that is equivalent to the code page.</p> </dd> <dt class="bold">500</dt> <dd>This is the name of the code page. </dd> </dl> <p><span class="bold">Selecting CHRIDs</span></p> <p>CHRIDs are selected by specifying a certain value for the character identifier (CHRID) parameter of the printer file.
